Before Clooney will build a clone, you have to confirm that the voice is yours, or that you have permission from the person it belongs to.

That confirmation is not a checkbox that only greys out a button. The request is rejected on our servers without it, so it cannot be skipped by editing the page. When it is given we store it: the time, the version of the terms you agreed to, the browser you used, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We store the hash rather than the address itself because the point is to be able to link a claim back to an affirmation, not to track anyone.

Each account gets one voice. Cloning a public figure, a colleague, or anyone else without their permission is a violation of our terms and grounds for termination.

Every piece of text is checked before any audio is produced. We use OpenAI’s moderation classifier, and refuse text that depicts sexual content involving minors, sexual content, threatening hate or harassment, graphic violence, or instructions for crime or self-harm.

A refusal happens before anything is charged, so a blocked attempt costs nothing. It is recorded against the account, and shown in that account’s history rather than quietly disappearing.

We deliberately do not block ordinary depictions of violence, conflict or illness. Narration, fiction, journalism and health material are much of what this product is legitimately used for, and refusing them would not make anyone safer.

Section 3 of our terms prohibits using Clooney to impersonate anyone, commit fraud, harass or defame, mislead the public or interfere with elections, produce illegal content, or resell the service.

Clooney is sold for lawful business and personal use: narration, product demos, courses, podcasts, accessibility and the like. It is not sold for, and may not be used for, any of the above.

If a voice or clip impersonates you or infringes your rights, report it here or email abuse@clooney.studio. You do not need an account, and you do not need to be a customer. Every report is acknowledged within 72 hours.

Copyright claims follow the DMCA process set out in section 16 of our terms, including our designated agent, the counter-notice route, and a repeat-infringer policy under which we terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe.

Accounts can be suspended or terminated. Suspension is not advisory: a suspended account cannot generate audio, clone a voice, or buy credits — the checks run before any of those begin.

Because every generation is stored against the account that made it, a report about a specific clip can be traced to a specific account and acted on.

Voice samples and generated audio live in private storage and are served over short-lived signed links, not public URLs.

Deleting a voice removes it from our database and from the voice engine that holds the model. A sample recorded by someone who never signs up is deleted automatically within 24 hours.
